NIKE, Just do it.

5 Principles to Restore Order and keep you well!

Number Five – NIKE, Just do it.

Jim Rohn, an American entrepreneur in his rags to riches story said it this way. Don’t let your learning lead to knowledge or you will become a fool. Let your learning lead to action and you can become wealthy.” So in other words, to gain knowledge but do nothing is not helpful. Gain Knowledge, do something, and achieve success.

Our sphere of influence is defined by those we are currently in relationships with – family, friends, and professional advisors. Many people understand their knowledge is limited but too often forget that the knowledge of their most trusted advisors whether family, friends, or professionals is also limited.

This really has to do with your mindset. Those who are successful in life are usually those with an open mind. They understand the value of a specialist and experts.

This is best understood by looking at the medical field. There are specialties – just as cardiac and orthopedic and experts inside those specialties… one doctor might be an expert in knee replacements and another hip replacements. We don’t go to the same doctor for a heart condition as we do for a knee replacement.

Yet, there is a myth in the financial world, that one financial or tax advisor can do it all or know it all. This is a myth! There are specialists and experts in the financial world as well.

Action is required to change anything.

People often ask what action they should take, our answer is always the same and really simple – Have an opportunity conversation with a specialist. (if you are not sure how to find a specialist request our article on that topic)

Albert Einstein was once asked what man’s greatest invention was. Interestingly he didn’t name off any of his inventions or others’ inventions, what he is reported to have said was compound interest. He also said the significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.

Compound interest has an exponential impact over time, but it works for good and bad. Mistakes compound as well and they cost you exponentially over time. So the reason you need to act now is that compound mistakes will cost you more as time goes on.

Proverbs says there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors. Wise people understand that and do not shy away from ideas, tools, or strategies that are new to them. They attended events presented by subject matter specialists, they seek out a specialist to identify their knowledge blind spots so they can expand their knowledge and enhance their lives, their business, and their DREAM Retirement.
